What Can a Cognitive Assessment Help With?

A cognitive assessment may be useful for:

  • Gaining a clearer picture of overall intellectual functioning

  • Identifying strengths and areas of cognitive difficulty

  • Supporting diagnosis or eligibility for programs or funding

  • Informing tailored intervention or educational planning

  • Assisting with school, work or daily life challenges

  • Understanding changes in cognition over time or due to injury

ISN offers assessment and diagnosis with comprehensive reports for low cost

Cognitive assessments at ISN Clinic are conducted by trained psychologists using standardised tools such as the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V) or the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV).

These assessments explore areas such as:

  • Verbal comprehension

  • Working memory

  • Visual-spatial skills

  • Processing speed

  • Fluid reasoning

Following the assessment, a comprehensive report is provided with results, interpretations and recommendations tailored to the individual’s context. Assessments can support diagnosis or contribute to broader evaluations of learning, neurodevelopmental or psychological concerns.

Cognitive assessments may be appropriate for school-aged children, adolescents or adults. Please contact us to discuss whether an assessment is suitable for your needs and to confirm process, fees and any relevant terms.
