Fees and referrals for Psychology Services
The ISN Clinic offers counselling and psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults in addition to performance psychology.
The clinic is staffed by experienced Senior Clinical Psychologists, Senior Sport & Exercise and Generalist Psychologists who have experience in working with a range of client presentations and requirements.

The Clinic is also staffed by higher degree interns on placement as part of the Master of Psychology and Doctor of Psychology degrees at ISN. Our interns are all registered as Provisional Psychologists under the national governing body AHPRA. As part of their internship, all interns are provided with daily supervision from our team of experienced Senior Clinical Psychologists. In addition to regular supervision, all interns have access to our academic staff and resources to provide them with timely and up to date information to ensure best client care. These services are a high quality yet accessible option for clients and referrers.

The current fee structure is reflective of the level of experience of each provider, while considering that our student interns are on their final year placement and are closely supervised by a principal psychologist.

Kew and Moorabbin Clinic Services
​
ISN Clinic Health and Wellbeing Centre in Kew and the ISN Clinic at DFC (which includes our ISN Human Performance Clinic), is staffed with clinical, human performance, and generalists psychologists in addition to provisional psychologists in their 5th and 6th year of study in psychology undertaking their Master of Psychology degree or 7th year of psychology study for those undertaking a Doctor of Psychology.

Mental Health Services
​
The Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative allows individuals to access up to 10 rebatable sessions per calendar year with a psychologist. In order to access this, clients can attend their GP to complete a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) which they can bring along to the clinic in order to receive their rebate following each session.
​
Clinical Psychologist attracts a fee of $250, with the current Medicare rebate set at $131.65.
​
Senior General Psychologist attracts a fee of $200, with the current Medicare rebate set at $89.65.
​
General Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar) attract a fee of $180, with the current Medicare rebate set at $89.65.
​
General Psychologist attract a fee of $180, with the current Medicare rebate set at $89.65.
​
Provisional Psychologist Intern (final placement year clinical psychology degree) attracts a fee of $60, which does not require a Mental Health Care Plan.

Anxiety and Tinnitus Distress
​
Therapy for tinnitus distress attracts a similar fee as above ($250 per session) and is provided by our clinical psychologist with referrals made out to ISN Clinic. If you are anxious about your tinnitus and this is causing you distress, please consult your GP to see whether you qualify for a Mental Health Care Plan (see above).
Low cost therapy delivered by a provisional psychologist in their final year of clinical psychology program can be provided at $60 a session. These sessions do not require a mental health care plan and are not limited in number. Provisional psychologists are under the supervision of a clinical psychologist and are part of a broader team that oversees the assessment and treatment of tinnitus.

ADHD Services
​
The ADHD Service will comprise typically four to six sessions with an assessment and report.
​
The cost of each session varies depending on the type of psychologist chosen:
$70 for a provisional psychologist*
$180 for a general psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar)
$250 for a clinical psychologist
​
plus typically a one off cost of $330 for the assessment and report.
​
Typical Cost for 4-6 sessions and an assessment and report could range in cost form:
Provisional psychologist - $610 - $750
General psychologist - $1050 - $1410
Clinical psychologist - $1330 - $1830

Note that diagnosis may also require further assessment and reporting at an additional cost. The additional need for such assessments and cost will be communicated to clients after their initial session. Where further such assessments is required (which may include expanded cognitive testing, educational or personality testing), the following may apply:
Provisional psychologist* - $470 for each additional assessment session
General psychologist - $580 for each additional assessment session
Clinical psychologist - $650 for each additional assessment session

* conducted by a provisional psychologist in their 6th and final year of study for the Master of Psychology degree or 7th year of study for those undertaking a Doctor of Psychology. No medicare rebate is available for these services conducted by the provisional psychologist. The provisional psychologist is under supervision of an experienced expert clinical psychologist.

Sports and Exercise/Performance Psychologist attracts a fee of $250
​
Provisional Psychologist Intern (final placement year sports and exercise psychology degree) is fee of charge, which does not require a Mental Health Care Plan.

Deposit and Cancellations
A deposit may be payable upon booking depending on the service.
​
ISN Clinic must be advised of any cancellations with at least 24 hours notice. Appointments missed (no show), cancelled or changed with less than 24 hours notice of the scheduled appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the chosen service cost. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact ISN Clinic on 03 9008 1616 or log into to client portal.
Two or more cancellations in a row may result in suspension of services and/or termination of service provision at ISN Clinic’s sole discretion.

Bundoora, Kew and Moorabbin* Community Clinic Mental Health Psychology Services
​
No cost and Low cost In-person and Telehealth services are provided through our community clinic located in Bundoora and now Kew which is staffed by provisional psychologist Interns undertaking placement in their 5th year of psychology study. Psychometric cognitive and educational assessment's are charged at $350 which includes a report and associated sessions.
All other psychological services provided by provisional psychologists in their 5th year of study are free of charge ($0).
​
* Moorabbin no cost services at ISN Clinic at DFC are currently limited to services related to sport and exercise and human performance psychology.

ISN Clinic Referrals
​
To provide clients with the best care and management of your psychological needs, we welcome referrals from different sources such as a clients GP, specialist and Allied Health provider.
​
Allied Health Referrers can also access our services to help manage their long waitlists. Our service can be utilised to support your busy practice. We can provide short term management and care for clients on your waitlist.
Local and regional community services such as GP’s, Specialists, Schools, Family services, Allied Health service providers are able to refer clients to ISN Clinic.
​
Provided consent is given, all referrers will be kept informed and updated with clients’ care and management.

We can provide in person sessions at our Kew ISN Clinic Health and Wellbeing Centre or Telehealth services.
