What Can an ADHD Assessment Help With?

An ADHD assessment may assist with:

  • Clarifying symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity or impulsivity

  • Supporting diagnosis of ADHD where appropriate

  • Differentiating ADHD from other emotional or learning challenges

  • Informing support strategies at home, school or work

  • Providing documentation for access to accommodations

  • Guiding treatment planning and goal setting

ISN offers assessment and diagnosis with comprehensive reports for low cost.

ADHD assessments at ISN Clinic are conducted by psychologists using a combination of interviews, questionnaires, behavioural observations and where appropriate, cognitive testing. The assessment process may include:

  • Clinical interviews with the individual and caregiver or partner

  • Behavioural checklists from multiple settings (e.g., school, home)

  • Cognitive screening or full cognitive assessment

  • Review of developmental and academic history

Assessments are based on diagnostic criteria and tailored to the individual’s age and context. A comprehensive report is provided following assessment, including results, impressions and recommendations to support functioning across environments.

ADHD assessments are available for children, adolescents and adults. Please contact us to discuss suitability, assessment steps and any terms or documentation needed.
