At the Institute for Social Neuroscience (ISN) Psychology , we take a broad approach to the study of psychology, employing the cross-disciplinary approach of social neuroscience. This new discipline investigates the complex interrelationship between our physiology, molecular makeup, our neuroscience and our social environment to further understand the psychology of human behaviour.

As part of the institute, ISN Clinic has access to the latest evidence-based treatments and up-to-date research in the field of psychology.

ISN Clinic Heath and Wellbeing Centre uses evidence-based techniques from across the world to provide the latest in treatment methods for a range of psychological issues. We carefully establish treatment goals and then regularly monitor the progress of each client to measure effectiveness and success.

An important part of this Centre is a focus on building mental toughness and resilience which can help individuals fulfil life goals and challenges at an optimal human performance level.  Our ISN Human Performance Clinic is part of the ISN Clinic Health and Wellbeing Centre to help you excel in all aspects of life.  We understand the psychological factors that contribute to peak performance and wellbeing.

 

Our focus is on maintaining optimal human performance throughout life by reducing distress, improving quality of life, enhancing relationships and building resilience.

The ISN Clinic offers counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals, couples and parents.

We provide evidence-based assessment and treatment options.

ISN Human Performance Clinic

ISN Human Performance Clinic is part of the ISN Clinic Health and Wellbeing Centre.

 

Evidence-based approaches are used to not only enhance performance but to provide expertise in such areas as health and wellness coaching, anxiety and stress management, concentration and mental preparation, overtraining and burnout, team building and leadership, weight management, debriefing and program evaluation, recovery and restoration, injury rehabilitation, psychological assessment, career transitions, coping strategies, and balancing sport, study, employment, and family life.

We understand the psychological factors that contribute to peak performance and wellbeing. Exploration of these factors includes:

  • consideration of psychological assessment;

  • ethics in sport and exercise psychology;

  • sports medicine;

  • the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation from injury;

  • team dynamics and group culture; and

  • the application of psychological interventions to optimise wellbeing and performance.
